Governance Secretary - Call for Nominations

Have you always wanted to be a part of a state gifted advocacy organization? Do you enjoy FLAG conferences and want to go for free? Would you like to help forward our FLAG mission? The Florida Association for the Gifted, Inc. is accepting nominations for the position of Governance Secretary. The Call for Nominations period will conclude on March 19 at 5:00pm. All members in good standing are eligible to self-nominate and vote.

According to the FLAG Bylaws (Article IV: Officers), it shall be the duty of the Governance Secretary to maintain official records of actions taken at all meetings records of FLAG and of the Executive Board, to maintain the records of the association, serve as Parliamentarian for all FLAG Board meetings, and to perform other such duties as may be authorized by the president and/or the Executive Board.

All nominations must include a:

  1. Short biography
  2. Statement of intent, 
  3. Resume, and 
  4. Current head-shot (jpeg). 
The items should be sent as PDF attachments in a single email to PR@flagifted.org by 5pm on March 19, 2019.

Those eligible for nomination are regular members in good standing who meet the membership requirements specified in Article IV of the Bylaws. Review the FLAG Bylaws to learn about the position and board expectations.Thank you for your support of Florida's gifted learners.
